Island Roots is a premium pacific island inspired apparel brand. It represents the idea that no matter where you end up in life, you can’t escape where you are from.  The roots of your being and existence lie within the culture/traditions/heritage of your ancestors.  From the roots of the Pacific Islands, this is where we form our greatest sense of identity and pride.  This is evident in our habits, tendencies, food choices, accent, terminology, etc. 

It also symbolizes the weaving of veins, roots & blood, forming a tapestry of the shared heritage. Just as veins carry life-sustaining blood throughout our bodies, these Island Roots course with the essense of our culture and history, binding us to our origins. Not only does Island Roots ground us to the land like roots anchoring a tree, it connects us like the common bloodstream flowing through a family.

Island Roots' designs & concepts are influenced by the Pacific Islands such as Guam, Phillippines, Japan, Hawaii, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, etc. Being based on the coast in Southern California, inspiration and influence also is attributed to the beach/island lifestyle and inevitably impacted by Mexican & similar Hispanic cultures as well.
